Duncan Aviation announces that Rick Randall, recently the company’s regional Manager for the Great Lakes, has moved south to a new territory. Randall is now providing service and support to customers and prospects as the South Central United States Regional Manager. The territory includes the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Randall started with Duncan Aviation in 1999 as the regional manager in the Great Lakes region. Prior to joining Duncan Aviation, he was a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter mechanic and flight school helicopter mechanic. A licensed A&P mechanic, he also worked as a turbine engine mechanic, inspector and foreman in aircraft and engine parts sales and in aircraft maintenance sales.

Randall will be working hard to fill the vacancy left by Dennis Brewer, a longtime Duncan Aviation Regional Manager in the South Central region who retired in January after 25 years of service to Duncan Aviation.

Duncan Aviation also welcomes Dan Arrick as the company’s new Regional Manager for the Great Lakes Region in the United States.

Arrick started his aviation career in 1985 by working the Line Department for Kal-Aero (which was acquired by Duncan Aviation in 1998) while attending Western Michigan University. He moved to the Engine Shop in 1988 and then Engine Service Sales in 1996. In-between, he worked on his pilot’s and A&P licenses. Arrick left Duncan Aviation briefly in 2006 for an Operations Manager position in Orlando with Pratt & Whitney, but soon returned to Michigan’s Duncan Aviation-Battle Creek in 2008 as Engine Shop Manager.

StandardAero announces it has named Rick Stine Senior Vice President of its Components Sector in Cincinnati, Ohio. Components is a newly established sector with the company’s array of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in six key industry sectors consisting of Airlines & Fleets, Associated Air Center, Business Aviation, Government & Military, Helicopters and Energy, and with today’s announcement, Components.

Stine comes to StandardAero from HEICO Corporation where he was Senior Vice President, Technical Operations. In this role, Stine was responsible for the technical operations of the aerospace companies within HEICO Aerospace.

Prior to HEICO, Stine spent 12 years at General Electric Aircraft Engines where he served in increasingly responsible roles, including team leader and design engineer for advanced exhaust systems and hot section components for the Advanced Tactical Fighter demonstrator program as well as civil aviation programs.

Stine holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University, a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science in Management from Purdue University.

CRS Jet Spares has named Eduardo Rosales as Mexican Sales Manager. Eduardo’s role is to build relationships, support customers and spread recognition for the company within Mexico.

Eduardo joined the CRS team after working with his father and brother at one of the few certified service centers in Mexico. “My knowledge of the area and the strong reputation of CRS in the business aviation community makes this a strong relationship,” explains Rosales.

Hailing from Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, Rosales earned his degree as a Computational Systems Engineer from Univa University.

Wipaire, Inc. announces that it has appointed Chuck Wiplinger as President. In a meeting to employees on December 23, 2010, Gene DePalma, assistant to the CEO, announced that the Board of Directors has elected Chuck to the new post. “Chuck is now ready to begin taking on more responsibility,” stated Mr. DePalma.

Chuck Wiplinger began working for Wipaire in 1996 in the aircraft maintenance department while attending school. He has held various positions in Wipaire since graduating from the University of Minnesota in Aerospace Engineering. Most recently, he has served as Executive Vice President in charge of operations. Chuck is the third generation of Wiplingers to lead the company.

Sandel Avionics has hired experienced industry sales representative Gunnar Rosenfeld in a newly created position of sales representative for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Rosenfeld will be responsible for the entire Sandel product line to civil and military fixed-wing OEMs, fleet operators, airlines and private owners, as well as helicopter operators. A former commercial pilot with more than 40 years of avionics engineering and sales experience, Mr. Rosenfeld served as Director, European Division, for DAC International from 1986 through 2010. He will be based in Cortaillod, Switzerland.

 

Pro Star Aviation, LLC announces its appointment of Clark Gordon as director of marketing.

In his new role, Gordon will be responsible for implementing new avionics programs and will support the continued expansion of Pro Star Aviation.

Although new to Pro Star Aviation, Gordon is not new to the aviation industry. His expertise encompasses an extensive 30-year background in the industry with experience in technical and business sales and marketing. A graduate of Spartan College of Aeronautics, he started his aviation career in product support with Bendix’s General Aviation Avionics Division. He moved into avionics sales during his tenure with Duncan Aviation, and was most recently VP of Sales for TrueNorth Avionics. Gordon is a certificated pilot and active in the aviation community as the chairman of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association, PAMA.
