Idaho Governor Gives ASU Valued Partner Awards to PAL Aerospace

The state of Idaho recently sent a delegation of businesses along with Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter to a trade mission in Canada. Governor Otter presented Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) valued partner award to PAL Aerospace during the trade mission.

“We have partnered with our friends at ASU to successfully compete for, and deliver, a number of highly specialized capabilities and programs,” says John Turner, senior vice president, Business Development at PAL Aerospace. “ASU provides leading-edge technology and innovation within the field of Night Vision for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.  Coupling ASU’s capabilities with PAL Aerospace’s special mission experience yields a very powerful combination as well as a strong and mutually beneficial partnership,” adds Turner.

The Valued Partner Awards are given out by the State of Idaho in recognition of companies that play a vital role in the support or partnership with Idaho-based companies. Governor Otter said in presenting the awards that partnerships are key to establishing and maintaining access to international markets. “These awards recognize the importance of collaborating with folks who know the local economy best in growing Idaho’s global exports,” he said.

“ASU works closely with numerous partners in Canada and with Transport Canada,” says ASU Founder Mike Atwood. “Governor Otter is a strong supporter of international business and supports every Idaho business that is exporting products to Canada.  We appreciate him taking the time to recognize PAL Aerospace for helping ASU increase our presence in Canada and we appreciate the opportunity to work with PAL Aerospace.”

ASU continues to champion the message of safety through the use of night vision systems throughout the world.  ASU works with numerous operators on equipping, training, and maintaining night time operations using night vision goggles.  ASU plans to have a roundtable discussion at Helitech International Expo and Conference in Amsterdam called, “Shaping the Future of Night Vision Operations in Europe,” from 9:00 am to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, in room F004 and will be at ASU will be located at stand G29 during the show.
