Innov8 Cabin Solutions Simplicity Products Now Certified and Operating on Five Aircraft Types

Innov8 Cabin Solutions’ CFLEX Technology product lines enable operators to efficiently and seamlessly upgrade their cabin as an entire system or to step their way to a full cabin management system replacement. The CFLEX Simplicity products have been in use on Falcon 900B, F900EX and Global Express aircraft. A recently completed project onboard a F2000EX and a GIVSP in work have expanded the number of aircraft enjoying the hands-free use and efficient charging of the Simplicity products.

“Extensive market analysis says that few aircraft owners of midsize to ultra-long-range class aircraft built between 1995 and 2010 will spend more than $250k, or more than 10 percent of the aircraft’s value, on a new cabin management system. That’s why at Innov8 we’re working to solve obsolescence issues through flexible, supportable and affordable technology,” says Scott Taylor, Business Development leader at Innov8.

The CFLEX Simplicity products include the CFLEX Charge USB charger, which enables the carry-on and use of Innov8’s CFLEX Arm and its CFLEX Holder options for customers’ personal electronic devices (PEDs). The CFLEX Charge provides multiple independent USB smart charging ports and a docking port for other CFLEX products. The CFLEX Arm effortlessly latches into the CFLEX USB Charger and also offers multiple integrated and independent USB charging ports. CFLEX Simplicity supports the various wireless content sources onto PEDs and makes them easier to enjoy versus older, heavier and expensive-to-support and obsolete monitors/arms in the aircraft today.

The CFLEX Holder attaches to the CFLEX Arm for docking and charging the customers’ personal electronic devices and offers both integrated and universal holder options to accommodate all major PEDs. The hands-free system enables passengers to enjoy content, browse the Internet or catch up on work/email using their tablets while independently charging multiple devices.

“The design architecture of the older, integrated cabin systems prevents discrete functions like audio and video from being upgraded individually. Integration, which was at one time viewed as the only way to build, now poses unique upgrade challenges. Customers are providing really great feedback on our products and, as every new platform is added, it validates our de-integration approach,” says Wayne Hundsdorfer, Business Development at Innov8.

“We were the first to install the Innov8 Cabin Solutions CabinFLEX Simplicity system on our Falcon 900 aircraft at the beginning of this year, and it has proven to be an outstanding and reliable system. The passengers enjoy the more efficient hands-free use of their devices, and it provides a very clean look in the cabin. West Star did the installation, and it was done right the first time and very affordably. Innov8 has provided great support and follow-up to ensure that we are satisfied with their product. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to bring new technology into the cabin without having to spend big dollars on full cabin retrofits,” says Jerry Owen, director of maintenance for Anschutz.

The CFLEX Simplicity line has recently been expanded to include the 12.9” and 18.4” Simplicity VŪ display products (patent pending). The monitors are easy to install, highly reliable and are being certified for all phases of flight. Innov8 CFLEX VŪ enables the displays to be mounted easily where older, low resolution and costly monitors are today, and passengers can share content wirelessly to the displays. Coupled with its CFLEX Cast product line, Innov8 also encodes all current source equipment (DVD, CD, external cameras, moving map, etc.) and then streams the data wirelessly to individual personal electronic devices (PED) or onto Innov8’s CFLEX VŪ wall display replacement devices.
