Quality Control InspectorOur client is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspection of aricraft, components, installation, etc. to join their company in Springfield, Missouri! We look forward to hearing from you!The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following tasks:* Conduct all required inspections in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations,manufacturer's approved data, any customer's approved program data and the policies and procedurescontained in the Worldwide Aircraft Services, Inc. Repair Station Manual.* Open and close Repair Station work orders for each aircraft as needed.* Perform incoming/receiving inspection of parts received to assure proper documentation is obtainedand parts are in airworthy condition.* Inspect work completed by technicians. Assure that the responsible technicians properly executecomplete entries on forms and work orders used by the repair station.* Assure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspectionrecords, repOlis, and f01111S used by the repair station are completed and executed prior to releasing theproduct for return to service.* Determine that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component orarticle released by the repair station. See that unairworthy parts are segregated and quarantined in sucha way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.* Assure the proper execution of maintenance release and/or FAA Form 337 when required.* Complete FAA Forms, such as 8130-3, 8130-9 and 8130-6, etc. as needed for each project cUlTently inprocess.* Audit aircraft records to determine status of inspections and/or components and assemble technicalinspection reports.* Create logbook entries for aircraft, engines and propellers following maintenance.* Maintain flight data for maintenance tracking purposes on managed aircraft.* Maintain engine trend data on managed aircraft.* Verify AD status of aircraft as required.* Assemble work packages for inspection of aircraft and audit upon completion.* Assure that the proper inspection records, reports and forms used by the Repair Station are available toall inspection personnel.* Complete work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that once filed information pertaining toa specific item can be readily located for review.* Performs other duties as assigned by the ChiefInspector* Daily attendance is an essential part of this position.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:* High school graduate or GED equivalent required with some advanced education/trammg courses.* Mechanics Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.* Use of blueprints, specifications, advancedshop math, use of all appropriate test equipment.* Operating a computer and applicable applications and other office equipment such as copy machines and/or printers.The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and characteristics:* Requires lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis.* Requires lifting of items weighing up to and over 60 pounds on an occasional basis.* Requires repetitive movement of fingers (pinching and picking) and hands - typing and/or writing andthe use of either or both hands and fingers for grasping, seizing, holding, turning items, manualdexterity is required, and the ability to push/pull, (i.e. open/close file cabinets and/or handlemachinery).* Requires lifting of items weighing up to and over 40 pounds on an occasional basis, transporting anobject, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder.* Requires physical effort associated with standing, walking, kneeling and sitting.* Remaining in seated or standing positions for extended periods of time.* Occasionally will be required to crawl, twist, bend, squat, climb and/or other body movements tosuccessfully accomplish this position.* Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.* Requires the ability to walk on uneven surfaces.* Requires sustained periods of concentration.* Ability to talk - expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oralinformation/communication to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions toother workers accurately, loudly and/or quickly.* Ability to hear -perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.* Requires use of either foot or both for operation of foot controls of machinery.* Sufficient vision required to successfully accomplish the requirements of the position.* Able to recognize and distinguish colors.
