Aircraft Mechanic - MH53 Helicopters
Job Description: Structures Mechanic and maintenance mechanic responsible for repair and build-up/refurbishment of Sikorsky MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopters. These are aircraft that sat in AZ for years and now require a complete rebuild for the US Navy.Daily Responsibilities:-Receive task card in morning meeting-Consult blueprints for the relevant install or repair-Select tooling from tool crib or personal toolbox-Perform repairs by riveting, countersinking, installing, troubleshooting, consulting drawings, working with mechanic., electrical, hydraulic, and structural componentsReason position is open: Additional aircraft being refurbished, building towards a high point of production in late 2018Work Environment: Aircraft hangar and shop areas in Medford, OR, located on the Medford Airport - MFR grounds, at Erickson hangars and offices.Day shiftMon-Thur 6-4 and Friday 6-2:30, OT on top of thatQualifications: 0-3 years level 14-9 years level 210 plus years w A&P: level 3Must have own toolsMust be able to read blueprintsMust have H53 experience OR other military airframe preferredMarine Corps H-53 experience HIGHLY preferredA&P preferredPerformance Expectations: Tasks completed versus the median for the team, will measured using task cards completed and the complexity of eachBest vs Ave: Best mechanics come from USMC backgrounds where they are already familiar with the H53 airframeTesting - Written test when they arrive, blueprint readingAdditional Compensation: 100/day Per-diem available as part of overall compensation for those who qualify10-30 hours OT available per weekAdditional Information: Stable company with large forest service contracts and winning more military contracts.Manageable cost of livingThey prefer someone who is seeking to stay long-termGood benefitsOpportunities for travelOpportunities for advancementCan stay a long-term contractor if desired, they prefer ppl who want to stay permanently About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
