AP Mechanic

Description: Aircraft A &P License - RequiredPerform Line maintenance (On-call and Scheduled) work on various customers aircrafts.Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within scope of Approval) returning aircraft to service.Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals.Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR’s and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.Perform line maintenance duties, activities and maintenance tasks as assigned.Collaborate and communicate with the air carriers maintenance control center as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Aware he / she will be working near moving mechanical parts as well as around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals while exposed to loud noises.Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.Must pass airport security checks and travel for work as required.REQUIREMENT:Current Valid Driver’s LicenseFAA Airframe & Powerplant License.Preferred Experience on B777, B747-400, B747-8 and 767 Aircraft Types12 HOUR SHIFTS6am to 6pm Sun-Wed or Wed-Sun (days)5pm to 5am Sun-Wed or Wed-Sun (nights)Pay: $28-$32 based on experiencePER DIEM SPLIT AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO QUALIFY.NOTE: IN ADDITION TO THE A &P POSITIONS, WE ALSO HAVE 1 LEAD POSITION WHICH WILL PAY A COUPLE DOLLARS MORE.Must have past experience as a lead.Leads will be responsible for: scheduling, ensuring work schedule is in compliance, and communication between team and management.Skills:A &P, Line Maintenance, Boeing, Engine MechanicAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must have 2 years of experience on Boeing aircraftMust have line maintenance experiencePrefers GEN FAMS: 737-NG and 747-400Airline experience preferredMust have line maintenance tool boxMust be open to work mandatory OTMust be flexible with shiftsMust be able to get a badge at the airportAbout Aerotek:We know that a companys success starts with its employees.
