SUMMARY This position requires the ability to perform aircraft and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provides instruction, direction, and training to lower level mechanics.Have full knowledge of PATS, inc. aux. fuel systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform tests on systems.Operate aircraft systems and troubleshoot components.Certified to operate APU#8217;s.Ability to operate tow; and to refuel vehicles and aircraft.Performs miscellaneous duties to service the aircraft in order to be in safe operating condition.Have the ability to fill in for the Lead during his/her absence.Ability to comprehend aircraft maintenance literature.Follows written and verbal instructions.Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring tools, basic tools, and the ability to read blue prints.Maintains a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards.Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-NoneEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCERequires a High School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math abilities. Two years large aircraft maintenance experience.LANGUAGE SKILLSBe able to read, write, and understand the English language. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic math skills #8211; High School level minimum REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply job knowledge & experience to make sound judgments. Ability to recognize when to ask questions & when input is needed from either the Lead or Manager. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe individual employed in this position is expected to dress appropriately (determined by area in which their work is performed), report to work on time, have excellent work habits, and have a cooperative and positive attitude in the work setting. Exhibit respect and professionalism when interacting with customers, and all employees is expected at all times. Must adhere to company policies, procedures and safety standards.
