The avionic tech will support flight test operational activity, perform reconfiguration activity to ensure aircraft is properly fitted for each certification and experimental test activity, and perform functional test procedures to ensure avionic/electrical systems are functioning within design parameters. The avionic tech will perform avionic and electrical system troubleshooting to identify non-conformities and defects. Overtime and weekend work is expected.ASSIGNED DUTIES: 1. Perform complex avionic system troubleshooting to identify failures and defects in avi/electrical systems.2. Perform wiring continuity checks as needed and repair damaged wires and cable assemblies as needed.3. Perform Functional Test Procedures to test system on ground prior to flight to ensure system functionality and flight safety. 4. Perform troubleshooting and repairs in the fly-by-wire system, flight control computers, and flight control system and follow job cards to remove and install LRUs and components as needed.5. Perform first-of-type and prototype installations and software with engineering input and work instructionsQUALIFICATIONS:1. Airframe and Power plant License Required2. Tilt rotor experience preferred3. 8-10 years of hands-on experience with operating aircraft required (rotor or fixed wing)4. Must be able to perform avionic and electrical system troubleshooting.5.
