Avionics Technician wanted to manage FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
We are hiring a full-time Avionics Technician to support our FAA Part 145 repair station.This successful team member will be challenged to take on increasing responsibilities within our organization consistent with his/her background and interests; in other words, there is significant growth potential with this job!
Initial Responsibilities:
-Perform avionics troubleshooting and servicing and, while working on aircraft components, complete repairs/maintenance as described in our documentation and in accordance with EuroAvionics-approved procedures.
-Sign off on completed work on applicable records and will be the party responsible for the work performed.
-Work with FAA representatives and other personnel to maintain regulatory compliance for repair station.
-Provide remote and where needed, on-site, technical support.

Requirements: 

-Operate hand tools, power tools and measuring
instruments needed to perform job assignments.-Possess outstanding customer service capabilities. -Have excellent organizational and interpersonal
skills, as well as strong problem solving and evaluation skills. -Be able to read and interpret aircraft diagrams,
charts and wiring schematics.
-Be able to quickly come up to speed in using
computerized diagnostic tools and manuals in order to test and repair avionics.
-Have the physical strength and agility to work
in confined aircraft workspaces when needed: must be able to lift a minimum of
50 lbs.
-Have the manual dexterity required for a technician
-Be familiar with and know how to use avionics
tools (including insertion/removal tools - using the correct crimpers).
-Be able to follow written and verbal
instructions in English. -Be able to comply with all safety and
housekeeping policies. -Be willing to perform other work-related duties
as assigned (we are a small business). -Be willing and able to travel (approximately 10%
domestic and some limited international). -Must pass a criminal background and credit check
as well as drug and alcohol screening prior to first day of work.
-U.S. citizenship is required (born or
naturalized with supporting documentation).
Experience/Qualifications:-2-year post-high school degree or equivalent. -Five (5) years experience in avionics
maintenance environment.
-Prior FAA training and/or certification.
In accordance with U.S. DOT regulations, ongoing random drug
