REBTECH Secures STC for Air Tractor 502/504 Series Aircraft

REBTECH announces the final completion of a night vision-compatible conversion of the Air Tractor AT-502, 502A, 502B and AT-504 agricultural spray aircraft. The aircraft is owned and operated by Dean Heimermann, owner of Countryside Aviation in Chilton, WI.

Heimermann comments, "As a company we are always looking to provide our fleet with the latest features, so night vision technology became a very easy decision and process with the help of REBTECH. We can now put in place a pollinator protection-friendly practice by shifting as many of the insecticide applications to the night hours when pollinators are not at risk, and we benefit from longer application windows for better aircraft utilization. If daytime weather adversely affects the operation, we are now able to work later when the winds are more favorable. This technology and STC will allow us to reinforce Countryside Aviation's reputation by completing applications in the timeliest manner. We chose the AT-504 to start with, as it has been a great training tool for pilots, and will now allow me to train my pilots in NVG in the most effective way. We are looking to modify our remaining aircraft with REBTECH, and their process has been quick and refreshing. I am very pleased with the professionalism and service from REBTECH and look forward to working together in the future."

REBTECH president, Richard Borkowski, says, "This supplemental type certificate (STC) project was a total team effort. From initial contact through the approved STC, REBTECH's engineering and production teams were focused and dedicated to ensuring that we delivered a quality product to Mr. Heimermann. This is just the beginning of our relationship with Countryside. We are committed to providing Dean and the entire Countryside family years of exceptional support. REBTECH is enthusiastic to be entering the agricultural aviation industry and will continue to expand our presence in this important market."
