STS Line Maintenance to Expand

In what some consider to be a surprise expansion move, STS Line Maintenance, a division of STS Aviation Group, plans to open aircraft maintenance stations in Boston, Burbank, Denver, Newark, New York (JFK), Orlando, Minneapolis, Omaha, Phoenix and Ft. Myers, following HAECO Americas Line Services’ announcement earlier this year that it would close its stations at those airports by Dec. 31.

STS Line Maintenance plans to retain most of each station’s existing workforce, though new jobs for Line Maintenance technicians of varying skills and disciplines are now available at multiple locations. For those who would like to explore these career opportunities, please visit STS’s brand-new aviation jobs board.

“In order to ensure that each station is humming on all cylinders by no later than Jan. 1, 2017, we’ve made every attempt to keep former HAECO employees by hiring them as STS Line Maintenance technicians,” says Mark Smith, group president of STS Line Maintenance. “We also added new clients to STS’s growing portfolio, and that’s part of the reason why we’re working so hard to ensure that there aren't delays in service requests or aircraft maintenance turn-times during this period of transition.”

With the addition of these new stations, STS Line Maintenance will now operate out of 24 major U.S. airports and offer round-the-clock aircraft maintenance services to airline customers at each station.

“In a short amount of time, STS Line Maintenance has greatly increased the number of stations it owns, and with that comes a great deal of work to ensure that the exceptional services our clients have come to expect are translated and distributed through this new pipeline,” says Robby Bush, vice president and general manager of STS Line Maintenance. “We are thrilled to now be servicing new customers at our stations, and the entire STS Line Maintenance team is excited to continue its mission of providing quality work at affordable prices.”
