West Star Aviation Announces Construction of a New State-of-the-Art Facility at ALN
West Star Aviation announces the expansion of its East Alton (ALN) facility with the addition of a new, state-of-the-art hangar.
The 64,200-square-foot hangar, office and shop facility will be adjacent to West Star's current facility. This new hangar, to be labeled ‘Hangar 66,’ will be equivalent to the hangar that was built in 2014. It will be large enough to house maintenance on aircraft as large as Gulfstream G650 and Embraer Legacy 650.
"Our need for expanding stems from our growing customer list. We want to make sure we are ahead of the game and have the space to accommodate our organization's rapid growth. We have a consistent steady work flow, so building a new facility will help us manage the volume," says Robert Rasberry, CEO, West Star Aviation.
With the expansion, West Star Aviation ALN will occupy ten buildings totaling over 387,000 square feet of office, shop and hangar space and over 200,000 square feet of ramp space. The expansion is expected to break ground fourth quarter of 2017 and to be reaching completion second to mid-third quarter of 2018.
