Raleigh Aviation Services centers around A P Mechanics who keep our customerrsquo;s aircraft in top notch condition. We are actively recruiting for a contract A P to work with us to continue our excellent track record of safety and performance.
The A P Mechanic generally inspects, repairs, overhauls, upgrades and cleans aircraft. A Prsquo;s also provide for the general and routine maintenance and do so in accordance with all Federal Aviation Administration regulations, all aircraft manufacturer's recommendation and all company policies and procedures. Additionally A P mechanics are required to maintain detailed records concerning all work conducted, inspections performed, conditions found, and safety compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs scheduled maintenance on aircraft, as assigned.
  • Read and interpret technical data
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of completed tasks.
  • Make required work order entries for discrepancies and corrective actions
  • Troubleshoots and repairs damaged, worn, or defective mechanical components.
  • Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections on aircraft as time permits.
  • Reports discrepancies to Maintenance Manager or Pilot in Command.
  • Document maintenance activities.
  • Completes required paperwork, including return to service requirements.
  • Observes current applicable FAA Regulations and GMMs while performing required maintenance.
  • Complies with Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains general cleanliness of hangar, parts/tool rooms and ramp areas, including operation of hangar floor cleaning machine.
  • Performs other duties and assignments, as required.
  • Parts identification, read and interpret IPC

The currently available contract is a short-term contract (3-6 months) with the option to extend. It averages 10 hours of work per week in the evenings. Pay is extremely competitive and based on candidate experience.

Requirements: 
  • A P Certificate (Required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, conscientious and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of FARs, FAA policies, and vendor manual (AMM, IPC, CMM)
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule to meet internal customer's needs
