StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we’re doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs (36-100, 36-150), and performs diagnostics in our engine Test Cells.
As a Licensed Mechanic working in our state-of-the-art Test Cell, you will serve as a technical expert in the Engine Shop. Working alongside other Test Cell Technicians and Engine Mechanics, you will perform engine overhauls, testing and calibration on Honeywell turbofan engines and APUs.
What You Will Do

  • Support preparation of engines for testing, carry out test procedures based on guidelines, and help prepare engines for shipping after tests.
  • Assist with general maintenance and repair of engines and test cell equipment as needed.
  • Operate basic and specialized test equipment to help evaluate engine and accessory performance.
  • Take and analyze fuel and oil samples during testing to monitor quality and performance.
  • Help troubleshoot and adjust engine components during the testing process, working with engineers and inspectors as needed.
  • Use technical manuals to follow testing and maintenance procedures.
  • Install and adjust parts, wiring, and components on engines or accessories using standard tools.
  • Accurately document work performed in a clear and organized manner.
  • Follow safety policies, contribute to a clean work area, and report any safety concerns.
  • Participate in efforts to improve test cell processes.
  • Be open to occasional overtime or shift work based on department needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe Powerplant licenses.
  • Prior experience working in a turbine engine test cell environment.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft engine overhauls and performance diagnostic analysis.
  • Experience working in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent planning, organization, communication (both oral and written), and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and systems.
  • Experience with Honeywell propulsion engines and APU products.
