Western Aircraft has multiple immediate openings for experienced Avionics Technicians in Boise, Idaho.
Job Summary
The Avionics Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and/or performing needed repairs to aircraft systems utilizing test equipment and hand tools to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturer specifications.
Duties Responsibilities

  • Learns and assists with routine avionics installations and repairs on general aviation aircraft
  • Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
  • Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
  • Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal toolbox
  • Meets or beats flat rates for assigned tasks
  • Understands and follows safety procedures, and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
  • Responsible for completing training syllabus for advancement to next level
  • Performs other duties as directed
Requirements: 
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in the performance of avionics modifications and installations on corporate / business aircraft or similar airframes.
  • Owns basic hand tools to complete work (list will be provided)
  • FCC Certification is preferred
  • Airframe certification preferred

Other Prerequisites

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to obtain an Airport Issued security badge

Work Environment Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with a moderate noise level.
  • The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Must have the ability to climb and bend at the waist, crawl, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and work at heights
  • Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
