DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to the Director of Operations (DO) for duty assignments and responsible for maintenance budgeting
  • Performs all management duties and any other specific duties assigned by the DO
  • Maintains a high degree of coordination with the Director of Operations
  • Responsible for interaction with the FAA relative to Maintenance operations
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Shop Manager and Mechanics based on priorities established in coordination with the DO
  • Responsible for the maintenance conformity of customer aircraft within the manufacturerrsquo;s guidelines
  • Maintain a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times
  • Responsible for the electronic and legal maintenance logbook entries pertaining to the work performed in the shop
  • Ensure that all shop employees adhere to the duties and responsibilities outlined in the General Operations Manual and Aircraft Flight Manual for a mechanic position
  • Oversee/resolve any issues or discrepancies on the customer aircraft
  • Leads continual improvement efforts in all aspects of operations to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Responsible for ensuring that all work areas are kept in an orderly manner for maximum efficiency and safety
Requirements: 
  • FAA A P license
  • FAA IA privileges preferred or have qualifications and experience to acquire IA status
  • Must have 8 years Helicopter mechanical experience (a minimum of 3 years of which must be in a Part 135 operation and within the past 6 years OR a minimum of 3 years within a certified airframe repair station (Part 145) within the past 6 years)
  • Must have turbine helicopter mechanical experience
  • Must have a Valid US Passport
  • Must have no FAA violations within the past 5 years
  • Must live in (or be willing to relocate to) the Fort Wayne, IN area
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history record check and pre-employment drug test
