Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp. /*generated inline style */ Job Description SummaryThe primary function of an Electrical Maintenance Technician is to support production operations through maintaining electrical systems on industrial machinery.Essential Functions

  • Eliminate problems through Root Cause Analysis
  • Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facility.
  • Comply with all safety and internal requirements set by OSHA, NFPA 70E and the Company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and general repair of the building and facilities.
  • Assist Maintenance Department with other duties and assignments as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.

QualificationsEducation and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive industrial electrical experience.
  • Minimum of five years verifiable industrial electrical maintenance experience.

Special Skills

  • Must have a basic working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces.
  • Must have an extensive working knowledge of Ohms law and its applications, Variable Speed Drives, PID Loop Controllers and relay logic based control schemes
  • Must have the ability to understand and utilize all functions of a multimeter, megohmeter, and other specialized electronic test equipment
  • Must have good mathematical aptitude, both in knowledge and practice.
  • Must be capable of identifying technical problems with little or no assistance and preventing and/or resolving issues rapidly.
  • Must be able to read and interpret machine electrical schematics.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional peers as well as upper level management.
  • The ability to make independent judgments and utilize problem solving skills.
  • A/C Inspections and maintenance.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability for strong attention to detail in following procedures and technical specifications.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime.
