Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.Position Overview:Boeing Field Services Team is currently looking for Experienced Back-Shop Mechanic to be based out at Hindon, India who will work as mechanic in the back-shops of IAF undertaking maintenance and repair of Government Furnished Equipment installed in all the shops which include Machine Shop, Sheet metal Shop, NDI shop and Composite shop. The shops have imported state of the art equipment installed and the selected candidate will be required to provide familiarization training to the IAF technicians. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense India (BDI) business organization.Teamwork in diverse team is important in this position.  Must be able to think proactively and work collaboratively with every team member.  Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface customers’ requirements. Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of written and spoken English, and familiar with computer operation. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.Selected candidate must have knowledge and deep understanding of working of various equipment installed in the shops. He must demonstrate capability to undertake repair of various machines installed in the back- shops, replace spares as required and initiate demand for spares when required. Be a self-starter who is not afraid to proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work. Be able to demonstrate highly innovative and creative problem solving skills.  Teamwork in diverse team is important in this position.  Must be able to think proactively and work collaboratively with every team members.  Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface customers’ requirements. Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of written and spoken English, and familiar with computer operation. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate skill in analyzing engineering data and drawing. They should be able to undertake maintenance and repair of the equipment installed in the shops.
  • Demonstrate capability to provide familiarization training to the IAF technicians. The familiarization training will cover all the equipment fitted in the back-shop over and above the 04 shops mentioned above.
  • Will demonstrate capability to co-ordinate with international teams and place demands for defective items.
  • Should be familiar with fault isolation of complex machines and undertake repair as necessary.
  • Individual will work closely with team members of C17 Field Services.Individual will develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on-going projects.

Employment will be subject to the candidate’s ability to obtain a security clearance from Indian security agencies/ IAF.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree or higher / ITI in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering is required as BASIC Qualification
  • 4 to 7 years of hands on experience in maintaining sophisticated machines like Lathe machines (especially NC CNC), industrial X-ray machines, composite repair machines, NDI machines, General engineering machines preferably at Airport / Airlines/MRO/ Military Aviation Establishments.
  • Knowledge and experience in undertaking various NDI NDT (Level-II) preferably at Airport / Airlines /MRO/ Military Aviation Establishments.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability to diagnose the defects through schematic diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of analyzing and undertaking repairs on components / parts associated with the above mentioned Back shop equipment as well other equipment associated with Back shop.
  • Previous work experience in Manufacturing supporting Airlines/Defense establishment undertaking similar jobs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Maintenance of CNC machines along with knowledge of various Computer numerical controls like FANUC, Siemens, HAAS etc
