Flight Operations Line Service Mechanic II in GAC SavannahUnique Skills:Airframe and powerplant license preferredMust obtain authorization to operate vehicles on the airfield of operations Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Problem solving and strong written/verbal communication skills. Able to use Microsoft Office computer software. Available to work any shift. 3 years experience with FBO type fueling services, aircraft ground movement and signaling procedures. Valid Driver8217;s License Upon Hire . Position Purpose:Assists with the movement of aircraft on, to and from the ramp and within the hangars, in support of customers, Service Center Maintenance and Final Phase. Support hangar operations by providing support of customer and visiting aircraft as required.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

  • Meet arriving aircraft, greet customers, direct them to a parking location and assist in locating appropriate Gulfstream Personnel for customer contact.
  • Responds to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew.
  • Coordinate with other departments and maintenance personnel to schedule aircraft movements.
  • Assist with training of other team members in Line Service on policies, procedures, ground support equipment and the fuel truck.
  • Communicate with other departments and maintenance supervisors to provide an accurate and immediate response for hangar stacking.
  • Prepare billing paperwork and fuel consumption reports, maintain fuel related records, file and support the implementation of policies, practices, procedures and audits.
  • Maintain equipment and inspections of the ramp to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions. .
  • Assist with security of premises.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure priorities are understood and acted upon, with clear turnover to ensure continuity across shifts.
  • Performs basic fuel quality control testing of fuel.
  • Identifies possibilities for operational improvements and communicate them to management.
  • Assists with ramp operations such as towing, fueling, wing-walking, directing and parking of aircraft, as necessary.
  • Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain good housekeeping and safety in all areas to include ramp and hangar areas .
  • Additional Functions:

  • Promote individual and team safety, along with ability to work effectively with a team. .
  • Perform the duties of the team leader in his/her absence. .
  • Assures that all hazardous waste is properly disposed of according to company guidelines. .
  • Use 6s guidelines to comply with the cleaning and maintaining of ramp areas. .
