General Aviation AP Mechanic
Do you have General Aviation maintenance experience? Can you perform 100-hour inspections on piston aircraft? Phase Inspections on Turbine aircraft? Electrical troubleshooting experience? Knowledge of hydraulic, fuel, and oxygen systems?
If so, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Aviation Airframe and Powerplant (A P) Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As an A P Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting aircraft to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations. We have a wide range of aircraft from small piston engine models to Citation Jets.
Responsibilities:
- Aircraft Maintenance: Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on a variety of aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Sheet Metal Repairs: Perform sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft structures, components, and surfaces. This includes assessing and repairing damage, replacing panels, and fabricating sheet metal parts.
- Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to identify and address any discrepancies. Ensure all inspections are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including logbook entries, parts usage, and compliance documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other A P mechanics, engineers, and relevant stakeholders to coordinate tasks, share expertise, and contribute to a cohesive and efficient maintenance team.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- A P Certification: Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A P) certificate.
- Sheet Metal Experience: Possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal repairs and fabrication within the aviation industry.
- Own Tools: Must have a comprehensive set of tools required for aircraft maintenance and sheet metal work.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of aircraft systems, structures, and components. Familiarity with various aircraft models and their maintenance requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively document work, communicate with team members, and provide clear instructions.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues related to aircraft systems and sheet metal repairs.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to a positive and efficient workplace.
