Were looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to join our small assembly team focused on building custom thermal components. As a Heat Pipe Assembler, youll play a key role in crafting precision-engineered copper heat pipes used in advanced cooling systems. Youll work with copper tubes, thermal pellets, chemical baths, and brazing equipment to assemble each unit to exacting standards. To ensure youre fully prepared, youll travel to Peabody, MA for training during your first few weeks. All travel expenses are covered. Youll work side-by-side with experienced technicians to learn the process before returning to our Livonia location Core Responsibilities:

  • Fill copper tubes with specialized materials (thermal pellets)
  • Seal, crimp, and braze the ends of the pipe
  • Apply cleaning and chemical baths to prep parts for use or shipping
  • Use hand tools, torches, presses, and measuring devices
  • Inspect components for leaks, fill levels, and proper sealing
  • Follow work instructions and quality standards consistently
  • Accurately track completed units and assembly steps
  • Keep tools, workstations, and materials organized and clean
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills:

  • Comfortable with hands-on, detail-oriented assembly work
  • Experience with soldering or brazing a plus (but not requiredmdash;well train!)
  • Ability to read basic work instructions and follow safety procedures
  • Good manual dexterity and patience with repetitive tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
