The Aerospace Ground Support Equipment Mechanic roles exists to establish and direct the inspection and maintenance program for all powered and non-powered aerospace ground support equipment used in the DCMA/Repair Station facility (hangar D).  In addition, the position will interface with the training department in regards to AGSE.  The position reports to the Component Shop Manager.

Duties:

  • Develop the periodic inspection and maintenance program for Powered and Non-Powered Aerospace Ground Support Equipment
  • Work with the Training Manager to ensure personnel are adequately trained to operate and maintain Aerospace Ground Support Equipment
  • Assist in writing operating procedures for the use of Aerospace Ground Support Equipment
  • Ensure maintenance on ground support equipment is performed to specifications as scheduled
  • Ensure the safety and serviceability of all Aerospace Ground Support Equipment
  • Manage equipment maintenance/inspection and historical records for Aerospace Ground Support Equipment
  • Maintain technical data relative to all ground equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements: 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of five years of experience with small engines, heavy equipment or automotive repair is required
  • Must be team oriented and have the ability to interface with team members
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast pace work environment
  • Available to the operation 24/7 on call as needed

Job Experience:  Small engine, heavy equipment or automotive repair experience
