This announcement is for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for RavnAir Group. This position reports to the Lead Mechanic for RavnAir Connect and is responsible for repairs and maintenance on assigned aircraft, under supervision or as trained and qualified to perform. The successful candidate will have a valid FAA mechanic certificate with an Airframe and Powerplant (A P) rating and one year or more of experience repairing and maintaining aircraft, preferably heavy turboprop.This is a non-exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position typically works a two-week rotational schedule in Bethel, however overtime may be required as dictated by business needs and with management approval. Duties Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accomplishing all work in accordance with the company maintenance publications and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's);
  • Executes all forms in conformity with the Company manuals, taking care to sign forms where signature is appropriate;
  • Ascertains that all labors and materials used are properly accounted for and are allocated to the job in an economical manner;
  • Ensures the work area is kept clean and in an orderly manner, and see that all safety instructions are obeyed;
  • Participates as requested in company training activities that pertain to their work;
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Director of Production Control;
  • Responsible for promoting identification and reporting of safety hazards in the work environment or when confronted with an unsafe situation. Promotes a positiveSafety Culture with co-workers and supports the organization in compliance with Safety Management System (SMS);
  • Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.

Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required;
  • Hold a current FAA mechanic certificate with both an Airframe and Powerplant (A P) rating;
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record according to the company's insurance policy;
  • Demonstrated mechanical knowledge of Cessna C207, Cessna C208, Beech 1900C, and PA31 Chieftain aircraft or similar turboprop aircraft is highly desired;
  • Must be able to effectively troubleshoot all aircraft systems;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings to perform required maintenance tasks;
  • Requires a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS);
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficient, or able to become proficient, in all documentation of paperwork using maintenance tracking software program, including material requisitions;
  • Requires a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS);
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check;
  • Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
