PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Aircraft Servicer Launches and recovers aircraft, performs servicing operations, performs aircraft inspections and minor maintenance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDuties include, but are not limited to: aircraft launch and recovery; marshalling and directing aircraft ground movement; fueling and de-fueling of aircraft; taking aircraft fuel samples; perform servicing operations: engine oil, hydraulic, air, nitrogen and LOX/GOX; perform pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections using proper technical data; examines tires for specified air pressure and condition, changes tires as required; assists in jacking and towing aircraft; perform aircraft washing and lubrication when assigned; act as a member of the engine rinse team when directed; secures aircraft in parking position with chocks, tie downs and grounding wires; be familiar with and operate portable fire-fighting equipment; operate ground support equipment such as electrical power supply, tow tractor, light cart, and engine starting unit; responsible for the adhering to the Company Tool Control Program; responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations; must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment; maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished; must be capable and willing to cross-train and serve in other contract functions to enhance company proficiency and individual advancement; assist in performing general aircraft maintenance using up to date technical data; minimum of one (1) year actual and recent experience of organizational level aircraft maintenance on fixed wing jet engine aircraft.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.Ability to enter data accurately into databases.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.Ability to follow a process.Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista Tactical Services, LLC goals.Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.Ability to multi-task.JOB REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.1+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required.Basic mechanical aptitudeExperience supporting a NASA/DoD contract is desired.Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.Yulista offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.
