In this position you will troubleshoot, repair and service aircraft and engine systems. In addition the mechanic conducts diagnosis of malfunctions, performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.

In this position you will plan lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. In this position you will perform repair, adjustment, removal and replacement of aircraft electrical and avionics systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with applicable manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, company directives and other approved data. Component repairs are normally limited to external adjustments not involving internal circuit troubleshooting.

To identify malfunctions, remove, repair and install a limited variety of aircraft communication, navigation, avionics, and electrical components. Perform analysis of routine electrical and avionics malfunctions according to standard shop practices using some equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters and continuity lights.

Under little or no supervision, you will perform one or more of the following composite part manufacturing functions: complex lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and/or complex repairs, in a production environment. You will be providing technical direction to other team members.
