PDS is Seeking Avionics Mechanic to work in San Antonio, Texas. Experience performing routine maintenance, modifications, and rework on VIP - 747 aircraft.The Electronics Technician Maintenance III (#8220;Aircraft Mechanic III #8211; Avionics#8221;) applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers#8217; manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.Performs aircraft bench and/or flight line operational testing, troubleshooting to the LRU level or applicable wiring, adjustment, repair and installation of any complex or non-complex aircraft electrical or electronic system in the testing, development, repair, alignment and modification of aircraft and related systems in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, company, supplier and other directives. Performs assembly, installation, check-out physical characteristics, operational testing and modification of wire bundles in the testing, development and modification of aircraft in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, company, supplier and other directives.

Requirements: 

Experience performing routine maintenance, modifications, and rework on VIP - 747 aircraft.Required- Minimum of 5 years' experience working on 747 platform.Tools: no tools required ***Current Security Top Secret Clearance required- held within the last 5yearsUS Citizenship Required: Clearance requirements will be used during resume screening.
