Aircraft Mechanic II (SMM) personnel shall perform a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including, but not limited to, disassembling, modifying, repairing, and reassembling complex aircraft metal items and systems, e.g., bulkheads, airframes, spars, air scoops, wings, flaps, pylons, sponsons, fuselages, skins, ribs, gussets, and fuel tanks.

Aircraft Mechanic Level 2 (ACM-II) workers repair and troubleshoot malfunctions on F-18 aircraft and components, and perform general mechanical maintenance, and operational checks of the assigned systems. They enter data in the maintenance records describing the work performed and verifies they performed the work satisfactorily.
