Jet Methods is an established aircraft management company located at the Palomar Airport in Carlsbad CA. We are recruiting for either a PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME Director of Maintenance to oversee our fleet of newer jet and turboprop aircraft. Part-time will be considered to perform only the Director of Maintenance functions, full-time for additionally performing maintenance work or fulfilling a pilot's role in the organization. Always•Treat our customers with the highest level of service and professionalism•Maintain a true passion for what we do•Communicate openly and honestly with customers and employees•Constantly strive for individual and corporate improvement The ideal candidate will:*Have prior Director of Maintenance experience or a solid experience and knowledge in Part 135 line maintenance and personnel management. *Experience working with CAMP or Avtrak*Hold a pilot license*Live in the greater San Diego area Duties include: •Maintaining or the outsource scheduling of all work being performed.• Training personnel in the company's policies and procedures as required.• Ensuring all maintenance performed on aircraft is accomplished in accordance with the maintenance Manuals and Operations Specifications in a timely and efficient manner.• Reviews "in process" and completed work orders for completeness and correctness.• Ensures compliance with applicable airworthiness directives, bulletins, etc. Compensation Benefits:* Competitive salary with incentives* Pathway, if interested, to becoming a commercial pilot* Health benefits* Paid Time Off (PTO) program


Candidate must meet the following to be considered as Director a Maintenance: • Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate.• Must have at least 3 years experience as a certificated mechanic on aircraft, including at the time of appointment as Director of Maintenance, the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR PART 119.69 (see below FAR) in the same category and class of aircraft as used by the company or at least 3 years of experience with a certified airframe repair station, including 1 year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service.• Knows all aspects of the maintenance and operations, as well as all aspects of maintenance requirements pertaining to 14 CFR PART 135 and other applicable regulations necessary for the proper performance of duties.• Proficient in Microsoft Office. FAR 119.69(a):(e) To serve as Director of Maintenance under #167;119.69(a) a person must hold a mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings and either:(1) Have 3 years of experience within the past 6 years maintaining aircraft as a certificated mechanic, including, at the time of appointment as Director of Maintenance, experience in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the certificate holder uses; or(2) Have 3 years of experience within the past 6 years repairing aircraft in a certificated airframe repair station, including 1 year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service.
