Aircraft Director of Maintenance This position requires a minimum of10 years of experience in aviation management while inspecting, troubleshootingand repairing single and multi-engine, fixed wing aircraft in a flight schoolenvironment. Bachelor#8217;s Degree is not required but preferred. A&P Mechanicslicense and Inspection Authorization are requirements.The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring: (1) all maintenancetasks are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with FAAregulations and Bowling Green Flight Center (BGFC) quality standards, (2) allmaintenance team members have the right skills, training, and tools andequipment to operate in a safe and efficient manner, and (3) positive,professional relationships are developed and maintained with all customers andwork colleagues. Pay will be based on experience and include a benefitspackage.Directs and manages all aircraft maintenance activities and efforts in linewith BGFC flight schedule to ensure aircraft are repaired and maintained inaccordance with FAA regulations and standards, and BGFC quality standards.Communicates and works with the General Manager and others on any requiredadjustments to the maintenance schedule and budget. Ensures the quality of themaintenance work performed on aircraft meets or exceeds all aviation regulatorystandards.Networks, maintains, and develops contacts within the industry. Maintains andestablishes a positive relationship with customers and colleagues.Ensures the accountability, calibration, and availability of required tools,equipment, and materials to accomplish required tasks in accordance within FAA,manufacturer, and safety requirements. Practices, supervises, and maintains allsafety precautions and standards associated with aircraft maintenance.Oversees, follows, and ensures the proper execution of all processes andprocedures associated with aircraft maintenance.Provides inputs for continued process improvement. Is directly responsible forthe implementation and enforcement of Tool Control and Foreign Object Damage(F.O.D.) programs.
