Duration 10 MonthsChipton-Ross is seeking an Electronics Technician for an opening in Marion, MA. RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.

Requirements: 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Candidate MUST be solder certified to IPC-610 and J-STDMust be familiar with operation of electronic lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, wave form generators etc.)Must be able to build cables and bread boards from engineering sketches and verbal instructionsMust be able to troubleshoot printed circuit boards to component levelMust have good problem solving skillsMust be able to work independently with minimal supervisionMust have an Associate's degree OR 5 years minimum experience. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Experience with underwater vehicles, torpedo and sonar electronicsExperience with RF troubleshootingExperienced with MS Office EDUCATION:Accredited Associate's degree OR 5 years minimum experience. WORK HOURS:9/80, 1st ShiftFull-Time MISCELLANEOUS: Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
