  • Perform specialized testing including fracture toughness, fatigue, fatigue crack growth, high temperature tensile testing
  • Develop methods for analyzing and testing materials
  • Ensure testing quality and conformance to specifications
  • Coordinate calibration and maintenance to minimize production interruptions
  • Assist with training technicians
  • Work on production testing as necessary to support customers


  • 5 years in a mechanical testing laboratory performing testing


  • Proficient with computers, the ability to use MS Office, shop floor management software (ERP) and related programs
  • Experience with instrument calibration
  • Experience with Instron Bluehill, MTS Testworks, Tinius Olsen Horizon testing software
  • Experience with fracture toughness, fatigue crack growth, low cycle fatigue, high cycle fatigue testing
  • Experience in Nadcap/AS9100 environment


  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Able to travel for short trips as needed
  • Able to wear appropriate PPE for mechanical testing and machine shop environment
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Standing for long periods of time, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position
