Duties and Responsibilities:

Aero Maintenance Inc. is a general aviation flight school, with full maintenance and avionics departments. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Volt is immediately hiring for Avionics Technician/Electrician in Travis AFB. CA.
Position Type: Full time (Contract)
Duration: 6+ Months
As an Avionics Technician/Electrician, you will:

  • Provides technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise by implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality.

Responsible for maintaining the airframe and engines of aircraft to meet FAA standards. Job involves tasks such as performing routine checks and repairs, keeping records of inventory, and identifying faults with components of the plane. Perform periodic inspections as well as emergency repairs.

  • Perform inspections and maintenance on company owned single engine Cessna 182 aircraft. This will include 50 hour, 100 hour, and annual inspections, engine changes, repairs, etc.
  • Conduct logbook research
  • Occasionally order parts, handle shipping, receiving, and inventory
  • Performs aircraft scheduled and unscheduled inspections and aircraft maintenance to acceptable industry standards that ensures the airworthiness of the applicable aircraft, engine, component or accessory.
  • Accurately identifies and performs required functional checks and support systems test to identify malfunctions and determine serviceability.

As Aircraft Electrician you will:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Assists the lead person in directing the maintenance activities of assigned personnel.
  • Performs the duties of a Level II according to MIL-STD-410 to perform nondestructive inspections of aircraft, engines, and ground support equipment.

  • Performs both on and off-equipment maintenance.

As a Structural Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform variety of our operations procedures to assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations.

Currently seeking a licensed mechanic with 2-4yrs experience familiar with working on reciprocating engines along with single engine and twin aircraft. Needs to be able to perform basic maintenance associated with annuals and 100 hour inspections. We maintain 2 flight schools as well as various outside customers and transient aircraft.
