Position Type: Product Repair/Modification TechnicianLocation: New Orleans, LAHourly rate: $28.00Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extensionContractor benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Job Description:Assembles,disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing orupgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implementchanges. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospacevehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulicand electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repairfaulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems andcomponents. Documents procedures and established processes to ensurecontractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicablemodifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairsfor flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.Skills:Education:Education/experiencetypically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) andtypically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combinationof education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' relatedwork, Bachelor, etc.).AdditionalInformation:Full Time/Part Time/OnCall: Full timeShift: FirstStart Time: 6:00 AMEnd Time: 2:30 PMDoes this positionrequire a US person for purposes of Export Compliance?
