Windward Aviation, Inc. (WAI) is a helicopter services company that has specialized in utility work since 1990 and has become one of the premier helicopter utility companies in the state of Hawairsquo;i. WAI is expanding its fleet/operations and is therefore in need of additional maintenance personnel.
WAI is an FAA Part 135, 133, and 137 certified operators.
We are accepting resumes for a qualified A P Mechanic working in support of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance for a fleet of MD500D and BK117-850D2 Helicopters.

  • Ideally, the applicant will work year-round on a 5 2 schedule and be based in Maui, Hawaii.
  • Scheduled maintenance workdays are from 8 am to 4 pm. Some unscheduled maintenance will be required and flexibility is a key asset for applicants.
  • The majority of maintenance is conducted at the primary hangar on Maui. Some fieldwork is required.

Requirements: 
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate.
  • 2 years of Rotorcraft maintenance experience, is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining MD500s, preferred.
  • Experience maintaining BK117s, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in field conditions.
  • Ability to work well with peers and customers.
  • Ability to support long-term projects, i.e. aircraft rebuilds, equipment maintenance, etc.
  • Ability to support utility operations in the field, i.e. firefighting operations, 137 spray jobs, etc.
