Gulfstream Expands St. Louis Operations

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announces further expansion of its completions and outfitting operations at St. Louis Downtown Airport. This growth augments the expansion announced in spring 2022 at the Gulfstream St. Louis Service Center in Cahokia Heights, IL, and was made possible with support from the State of Illinois through its Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) tax credit program. The agreement stipulates a goal of making a significant capital investment, creating 200 jobs and retaining nearly 500 jobs.

FEAM Aero Receives New Authorization Class

FEAM Aero, a provider of aircraft line-maintenance services in the United States, achieves a significant milestone by securing a new authorization rating that enables them to support all airframe types weighing above 12,500 pounds. This upgraded repair station classification encompasses Class 2 composite construction and Class 4 all-metal construction for large aircraft with a gross takeoff weight (GTOW) of more than 12,500 pounds.

Hundreds of people gather to celebrate the groundbreaking of a transformative project for the Southern Alleghenies region — a new aviation maintenance, repair and services hub called the Mid-Atlantic Opportunity Park. The park will be built as a nearly 130-acre extension to the John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport (JST) and will be anchored by a 100,000-square-foot aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, with additional retail space for parts suppliers, paint shops and distribution facilities. The Opportunity Park is set to open fall 2024 and is expected to create hundreds of high-paying jobs.
