In a focused effort to continue to enhance and grow the aviation maintenance professional, a meeting was held on April 6th between members of the AMTSociety, National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA) Maintenance Committee, and the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA).
The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) Board of Directors announces the selection of Dale Forton as president.
The selection of Dale as president comes after two years of reinvigorating the organization’s leadership structure and refocusing on the strategic plan.

Disciplining is part of a DOM’s job. Discipline is effective when its application eliminates the need for it in the future. Effective discipline gets results. But we should never apply discipline without also giving an explanation and providing instruction or correct behavior.
As usual the Administrator is trying to “cut his own throat,” and ours with it. Having just read with great interest the comments by Gary Frederickson and Tim Begeot in the “Readers Speak” section of the April issue of D.O.M.
