Avotek publishes a series of aviation maintenance textbooks in response to the new FAA Part 147 training requirements for aviation maintenance schools. The company has signed an agreement to complete the first-of-type installation of a SmartSky LITE™ system on an Embraer Phenom 300, the world’s best-selling light jet, which is expected to be completed this summer. The supplemental type certificate (STC) will make SmartSky available to more than 400 in-service aircraft.

Duncan Aviation is offering a slot program that designates capacity at one of its satellite locations for upgrades/installations of a Gogo AVANCE Wi-Fi system. The program lets operators select a favorable time slot at the satellite facility of their choice and ensures they can complete the installation before their older equipment no longer supports connectivity.

Mayo Aviation announces it is entering a strategic alliance with Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems to expand aircraft maintenance capabilities for its managed aircraft and charter customers. With the move, Stevens will acquire Mayo Aviation’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations at Centennial Airport (KAPA).
