Quality Assurance Officer
About the RoleAn exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group Medical Department as Quality Assurance Officer. The role will Assist the Manager Clinical Governance in implementing the overall quality management system at Qatar Airways the Medical Centre (QRMC). The post holder will help QRMC departments apply Clinical Governance requirements.The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all clinical services and operations adhere to established standards of quality, safety and compliance. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits and reviews and collaboration with staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement.Your duties would include:
- Assist in the implementation of Clinical Governance initiatives at Qatar Airways The Medical Centre (QRMC) / Medical Division (QRMD).
- Collaborate with Clinical Governance staff and other QRMD departments to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Provide support to Clinical Governance in achieving the departmentrsquo;s objectives and key performance indicators.
- Support Clinical Governance activities related to MOPH facility licensing, staff licensing and continuous professional development (CPD) processes.
- Participate in audit and inspection visits, such as MOPH, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS-ISO45001), Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), and Oman Air Civil Aviation Agency (CAA).
- Support in ensuring and monitoring compliance with Qatar Airways policies and procedures, and standards and regulatory requirements, including MOPH, QCAA, Oman Air CAA, ISO45001, ISO9001:2015, and Joint Commission International (JCI) standards.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and patient safety activities.
- Assist in the development, timely review, tracking, approval and standardization of controlled documents, including policies, procedures, work instructions, workflows and forms.
- Compile and collate indicators, such as the MOPH Health Service Performance Agreement (HSPA) and other Clinical Governance data from departments using standardized format, for internal use and external submission to MOPH or other regulatory bodies as applicable.
- Analyze Clinical Governance data such as incidents, complaints, compliments, indicators, and productivity, and help generate reports and dashboards.
- Assist in the follow-up of incidents and complaints received by Clinical Governance.
- Assist in the review and validation of the electronic HMS systemrsquo;s reports, dashboards and indicators.
- Perform other department duties as advised by the Manager Clinical Governance.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor Degree in health-related field, with minimum 5 years of job-related experience
- Thorough knowledge of international accreditation standards, such as Joint Commission International (JCI), International Standardization Organization (ISO), Accreditation Canada, UK Care Quality Commission (CQC), or UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office package including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, Edge, Publisher, Teams, Outlook
- Experience in electronic health systems
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
- Knowledge of policy management system will be an advantage
- Knowledge of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to conduct inspections and audits
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
- Ability to create high-quality documents
- Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy
