We are seeking Aircraft/Avionic Technicians Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our Defense Systems Sector wants you to join our Team as a SCA Aircraft Mechanic 2 with avionics. This position is located at Robins AFB, GA, and requires you to work on site daily as well as working any shift as/when needed. $32-$34 per hour.  While on travel, you will typically receive at a minimum, per diem and/or additional compensation dependent upon location.Relocation assistance may be available. This position requires the ability to deploy nationally and internationally for periods of up to 180 days to support CONUS and OCONUS operations as/when required to backfill staffing needs or when USAF customer requirements dictate. Once employed for the role - must be willing and able to do required travel within 72 hours of notification of the travel. **This position is a Service Contract Act position. Duties include: 1.Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replace, re-assembly, and adjustment of all aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. 2.Execute line-maintenance/flight operations support for BACN E-11A (Global Express and Global 6000) aircraft including all electrical mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU) replacement, calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements proper documentation in aircraft forms (Air Force Form 781 series). 3.Maintain FAA required records, manuals, and inspection forms 4.Conduct all levels of maintenance and inspections - flight line, in-depth, depot-level) of aircraft and components - in accordance with USAF maintenance procedures in compliance with associated airworthiness approvals. Avionics specific tasks 1.Uploading of aircraft software sets and monthly navigation databases 2.Use of Onboard Maintenance System and Portable Maintenance Access Terminal to troubleshoot and identify aircraft system faults and failures. 3.Operate Druck Air Data Test Set, IFR 6000, IFR 4000 to test aircraft pitot/static, navigation and communication systems. 4. Assist other functional team members with any associated aircraft maintenance actions to ensure mission success. 5.Perform aircraft set-up and systems checks daily prior to crew arrival and launch. 6.Access and work in a confined avionics bay Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent AND 2 years additional education and related experience Must be a US citizen. Must possess or be able to quickly obtain a DOD Secret security clearance. Must possess or be able to quickly obtain a US Passport.   Business or regional jet experience - Global Express, XRS, Global 6000, CRJ, G-5, G-4, Challenger, etc. Experienced in altimeter/transponder checks utilizing pitot/static and transponder test equipment. RVSM certified, OR previously certified, and understand FAA RVSM guidelines and aircraft RVSM certification. Connector repair, wire harness manufacture, and in-depth electronic and electrical troubleshooting experience. Loading of aircraft software. Adept at using electronic and electrical troubleshooting tools beyond the use of a simple meter. Must be able and willing to travel as required by the program to include international travel. Must be able and willing to work any shift. Preferred Qualifications: FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification A current DoD Secret Clearance 4 or more years of related hands-on aircraft avionics experience NG Skills BACNFOL2Salary Range: $32 - $34The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
