If yoursquo;re prepared to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape.Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Staff Representative in Quality Assurance (On-Wing Maintenance Surveillance), you will be vital in maintaining safety, compliance, and operational excellence across Uniteds Technical Operations and vendor network. This position requires leading audits, investigations, and surveillance to ensure alignment with FAA regulations and our internal Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS). You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify risks, resolve non-compliance issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within On-Wing Maintenance and related functions. With 40-50 travel, this role significantly impacts our global maintenance operations while serving as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and industry partners.Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct internal and external audits and compliance assessments
  • Investigate non-compliance events, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and present audit reports and findings to senior leadership
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Represent United at FAA and industry meetings, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with voluntary self-disclosures and FAA Letters of Investigation
  • Travel 40-50 to domestic and international sites for on-site quality oversight

Note: This is a remote position with a 50 travel requirement. While the role is fully remote, we prefer candidates based near one of our hub locations: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Newark, or Washington D.C. (IAD)QualificationsWhats needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelorrsquo;s degree in a technical, safety, or aviation-related field, or equivalent work experience
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, and quality assurance
  • 5-7 years of proven achievements in aircraft maintenance, inspection, engineering, and QA, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Expertise in aircraft maintenance, surveillance, and analysis programs
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant Code of Federal Regulations and Company manuals/requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company-specific IT platforms
  • Extensive experience interacting with the FAA
  • Ability to travel 40-50 to domestic and international
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of an interview is required
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential

  • Advanced degree in a technical, safety, or aviation-related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in quality assurance or safety programs
  • Professional certification in quality or safety
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance auditing and risk assessment

The base pay range for this role is $87,780.00 to $119,680.00.The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills.
