Amentum is seeking an ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN III to provide support for a position located at Holloman AFB, NM. Responsibilities

  • Full Scale: Aircraft/targets and equipment, alternate mission equipment (AME), scoring systems, aircraft communication systems, performs PMTs and support operational requirements.
  • Utilize test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot systems for example: ECS, ASTS and PFLT aircraft maintenance test sets, etc.
  • Maintains Environment Control System. Actions include troubleshooting, system component removal and installation, and system fault isolation through system specific technical order and test equipment diagnostics.
  • Inspects, maintains and purges LOX converters and servicing carts. Inspects, maintains and services CO2 bottles and oxygen bailout bottles.
  • Performs EE inspections and maintenance on nitrogen/GOX trailers.
  • Perform depot repairs associated with FSAT. Performs organizational and intermediate (OI) type maintenance and repairs to aircraft, targets, , COMSEC material and other associated equipment in the Aerial Targets contract.
  • Typical work may include: Operates, inspects, repairs, maintains, services, rebuilds, modifies and troubleshoots aircraft systems and components.
  • Applies technical knowledge to perform duties through the use of manufacturer manuals, technical orders, regulations and COTS publications and other written documentation.
  • Assists in the development and installation of modifications associated with aircraft and targets, communications and control systems, test and support equipment associated with the Aerial Targets Program.
  • Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex depot level problems including those that cannot be solved through the use of manufacturers’ manuals, technical orders, etc. pertaining to the operations and maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment and aircraft associated with Aerial Targets contract.
  • Initiates, edits technical documentation and drawings to reflect authorized modifications and configuration changes.
  • Maintains maintenance records and enters maintenance actions in aircraft form and/or automated records.
  • Provides technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc.
  • Provides technical guidance and training to equal or lower level personnel. May be required to perform work of lower technical level personnel.
  • Performs aircraft maintenance and other duties, related tasks within their classifications as assigned by a Supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

  • F-16 Fighter Avionics Technical Training to include Electronic Principals, and the completion of the follow-on shop FTDs (A-Shop, B-Shop, C-Shop).  
  • F-16 Nose to Tail experience and training in other specialties such as Electrical and Environmental Systems.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience troubleshooting F-16 ECS highly desired.  
  • Work week may shift to other days due to mission requirements.  Report time to work varies depending upon mission schedule.  Some overtime will be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
