Jet Aviation Gains EN9110 Certification and Other Maintenance Approvals in Dubai

Jet Aviation announces that its maintenance facility in Dubai has been awarded EN9110 certification following an independent audit. The company has also gained EASA, FAA and GCCA approvals for the Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) family, as well as EASA approval for the Bombardier Global BD700 series.

Duncan Aviation announces that Scott Kruce has joined the Avionics Install Sales team in Lincoln, NE. In the 10 years Kruce has worked at Duncan Aviation, he has served as an avionics install technician and crew lead. Installing avionics equipment on aircraft has given Kruce hands-on experience with both aircraft and customers, and he intends to use the knowledge he has gleaned over the last 10 years to help customers make the best decisions possible regarding their investments in equipment and upgrades.

West Star Aviation announces its acquisition of MSP Aero LLC, a Minneapolis-based company working with avionics, interiors, minor paint and window restoration at KMSP and surrounding areas. Founded in June of 2009, MSP Aero was created to provide uninterrupted avionics services to area flight departments and received its FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station certificate by December 2009. In 2013, MSP Aero later added interiors, paint and windows restoration capabilities.

With an opening ceremony on November 13, the Lufthansa Technik subsidiary officially started operation of the new component shop. Cape Cod Community College celebrates the success of its first group of students completing all requirements of its Aviation Maintenance Technology program, Thursday, November 9, 2017. As this first group of 16 graduates qualified for FAA Certification testing, some were preparing to begin work in the aviation industry, while others were already enrolling for further study to complete their Associate in Applied Science degree in Aviation Maintenance at the College.

The avionics team of Flying Colours Corp., a North American MRO business, completes its first installation of a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21™ Advanced avionics suite for the flight deck of a Bombardier Challenger 300.  The fitting of the state-of-the-art cockpit upgrade was carried out in conjunction with a scheduled heavy maintenance check at the Flying Colours Corp. KSUS, St. Louis, MO, facility. The aircraft was returned to the private customer on time and on budget.
