Avionics Technician- Tampa, FL SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONPerforms trouble-shooting, operational testing, modification, and repair of components of aircraftinstrument, electrical, and electronic systems in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements,and specifications established by the company, applicable government agencies, and aircraftmanufactures as contained in approved Maintenance Manuals.

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION1. High School diploma or equivalent.3. FCC License preferred but not required.4. Five (5) years experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MROcompany.5. Must have thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavymaintenance service, including, but not limited to Company policy and procedure manuals,FAR#8217;s, AD#8217;s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.6. Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.7. Must be efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc. necessary forthe accomplishment of duties assigned.8. Must have an understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling anddisposal as related to the job assignment.
