GENERAL DESCRIPTIONSupports the Electronics Technicians III on military and commercial aircraft electronic system installations. DUTIESPerforms extensive troubleshooting of communication and electronic equipmentInterpret engineering designs and drawingsProvide technical direction, training, and guidance to lower level technical personnel as necessaryRead, interpret, and supports development of electrical fabrication and installation drawingsPerform fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting of control, power, Video and RF cables and harnesses on aircraftUse both In-Shop and Flight-line test equipment for troubleshooting and testingWork as a modification team member supporting workflow and task assignments during the integration processDuring modification; perform in-process inspections for assembly and installation design conformanceTravel may be requiredOther Duties as AssignedEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or graduate equivalentMinimum of six (6) years of significant experience in demonstrating installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex communications equipment and electronics equipmentExperience leading modification teams is desiredProvide technical direction and guidance to lower level technical personnelMust have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceGraduate of a technical school is preferredWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
