Quality Control Inspector

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, position will be tasked to perform incoming and in process repair inspections on Flight Critical aircraft components. Additionally position will be assigned calibration, material inspection and control, internal audit and various Quality functions as required.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs in process inspection of aircraft, or parts during modifications, installation, or overhaul to determine airworthiness, safety or conformance to approved data and Company standards and requirements.
  • Performs tool calibrations and record keeping.
  • Performs incoming inspection on rotor blade and other aircraft components in accordance with Manufacturer and Civil Authority requirements.
  • Review of completed work orders
  • Airworthiness Directive research
  • Intercompany Audits
  • Repair materials inspection, tagging and control per Repair Station procedures.
  • Knowledge of audit reviews and associated corrective actions (investigative skills)
  • Knowledge of FAR 145 and related FARS. (documentation review)
  • Perform other Quality duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Requirements: 


    • High school diploma
    • Technical degree or equivalent experience in a related field


    • Minimum 2 years hands-on quality control inspector in a Part 145 Repair Station environment; performing Rotor Blade Inspections preferred
    • 3 years experience in aircraft component maintenance in a P145 environment is required; technical training is a plus
    • Leonardo Manual and procedural experience is preferred

    Competencies & Attributes

    • Technical knowledge in the field of aerospace, composites and flight critical components is required.
    • Must be pro-active and team and detail oriented
    • Must possess excellent communication skills
    • Must be able to read, write and interpret technical documents
    • Must have good working knowledge of FAR Part 145 repair station
    • Must be skilled in Microsoft Office suite


    • Former FAA Airman Certification for Rotor Blade Repairs is required
    • Must have valid FAA A&P license or ability to obtain FAA Airman Repairman Certification
    • Must have valid driver#8217;s license
