US Aviation Academy is hiring licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics for our Conroe, Texas, location. This position offers a 5-day week, 8-hour shift work schedule.As a major function of a collegiate flight training academy, our mechanics maintain a large fleet of fixed-wing aircraft, including Cessna 172s and Piper Senecas.
Perform a variety of structural assembly, fitting, rework and riveting operations. Perform visual and functional inspection operations to assure product meets all requirements and specifications. Responsible for assuring final quality acceptance of installations, configuration and operational response of mechanical systems, structures, components and controls.
- A P Licensed and structures mechanics
- Experienced on the following aircraft : ATR 42/72 , Embraer and CRJ'S 200/700/900
- Tools Required
- MRO Environment
- Use a variety of power tools, hand tools and shop equipment
- Keep work areas clean and orderly
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
