The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.

Classification Description Repairs and maintains aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic (Senior) or Lead. Removes and installs aircraft components. Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems. May be required to perform aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations.

The Maintenance Test Pilot utilizes flight test techniques to perform test flights of assigned aircraft to measure performance and handling to determine airworthiness following maintenance or modifications.  This position is for the T6 platform only.Principal Accountabilities
