Vector Aerospace Corporation announces the signing of a Service Agreement between Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic, Inc. (Vector) and Gulfstream International Airlines (GIA), based in Dania Beach, FL, United States. As per the terms of the five-year agreement, Vector provides GIA with comprehensive engine repair and overhaul support for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67D series engine from its Engine Services-Atlantic facility located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Smyrna Air Center has completed its first Power 90 Upgrade conversion for AeroMetric. GE Aviation’s M601E-11A engines are now powering AeroMetric’s King Air E-90 aircraft for its site in Anchorage, AK. The Power 90 Upgrade Program is a conversion program for owners of King Air 90 aircraft, in which the installed engines are replaced with the 705 shaft-horsepower (shp) GE M601E-11A engines.

The largest flying airship in the world — the Farmers Airship, a Zeppelin NT owned and operated by Airship Ventures — is headed to EAA AirVenture 2011, where it will offer 45-minute scenic flights over the AirVenture grounds and Winnebagoland for purchase.

Northrop Grumman Corporation has presented a full-scale model of the RQ-4 Block 10 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system (UAS) to the Northland Community and Technical College Foundation of East Grand Forks, MN. The presentation was part of the Red River Valley ResearchCorridor Unmanned Aviation Systems Action Summit.

West Star Aviation recently installed the first Rockwell Collins   Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 Upgrade on the Falcon 2000. The upgrade is now available for Pro Line 4-equipped Falcon 2000 and 2000EX aircraft. The project was completed at the West Star Aviation East Alton, IL location. This upgrade replaces the existing Cathode Ray Tube (CRT), displays with new Liquid Crystal displays (LCD). The new 8X10 inch displays are capable of displaying charts, maps, cameras and graphical weather.  Operators may also upgrade the GPS sensors with WAAS for LP/LPV capability.

AERO Specialties, Inc., a manufacturer and international distributor of aircraft ground support equipment (GSE), has launched a new U.S. Atlantic Division to market, supply and service GSE in the Atlantic coastal region. A touring product showcase will be an integral component to the Atlantic Division and will offer line operators the opportunity to demo equipment. The product showcase tour will consist of a full array of AERO products, from aircraft tugs to ground power units; visiting FBOs, MROs, and corporate flight departments from Maine to Florida.

"The president has inexplicably chosen to vilify and mischaracterize business aviation – an industry that is critical for citizens, companies and communities across the U.S., and one that can play a central role in the economic recovery he says he wants to promote."

EXTON, PA - Innovative Solutions & Support, Inc. (IS&S) (NASDAQ:ISSC) announced today that its Flight Management System (FMS) is in operation on the Eclipse Aerospace Twin-Engine Jet. The IS&S developed FMS and dual WAAS/SBAS Beta-3 GPS receivers are approved to TSO C-146c and TSO C-145c respectively. The system received Type 2 LOA in compliance with AC20-153A and RTCA DO-200A navigation data.

SAVANNAH, Ga., June 15, 2011 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced the reopening of Hangar F, now dedicated to servicing mid-cabin aircraft, at its Dallas Love Field facility. The 62,000-square-foot hangar increases space by nearly 18 percent at the site, allowing Gulfstream to more efficiently outfit and service large-cabin and mid-cabin business jets.
