Thoroughbred Aviation, LLC is Open for Business
Nathan Winkle announces the launch of Thoroughbred Aviation, LLC, a new consulting company dedicated to helping aircraft owners and aviation managers. Thoroughbred Aviation offers a variety of consulting services which include developing strategic aviation plans, aircraft records reviews, maintenance audits, aircraft and system specifications, pre-purchase inspection monitoring and analysis, on-site MRO project management, flight department set-up, safety management system implementation, and other business aviation consulting services.

In addition to the aforementioned consulting services, Thoroughbred Aviation offers a maintenance management service. Designed for flight departments without a dedicated maintenance personnel, the maintenance management service will help owners and operators proactively plan for and ensure compliance with maintenance instructions. “I saw a unique need in the industry, and am offering my experience and expertise to those who need help with managing their maintenance requirements,” says Winkle. “With the decreasing number of technicians entering the workforce, higher dispatch reliability of modern business jets, and increased pressure for flight operations to run as lean as possible, Thoroughbred Aviation is poised to provide high level of maintenance management support for a wide variety of business aviation operations.
Winkle is an A&P and IA who has worked for 25 years in the aviation industry, with 17 years dedicated to corporate and business aviation. Having worked for a major OEM and a Fortune 200 flight operation, Winkle is able to provide a big-picture perspective to better help aircraft owners and aviation managers. During his career Winkle has lead numerous cutting-edge projects. One such breakthrough project was the visioning and implementation of a paperless maintenance operation.
