West Star Aviation Performing Major Repair on Gulfstream G200 Aircraft

West Star Aviation is performing a major repair on a Gulfstream G200 aircraft at its new Chattanooga, TN (CHA), location after it was struck by a foreign object. The aircraft is an Atlanta-based G200.

The foreign object struck the fuselage above the window line on the left side between the fourth and fifth windows, leaving a crease in the skin. West Star will replace the entire skin using factory drawings and Gulfstream engineering support after attempting to cold-work the crease.

"This is an exciting major repair that was brought to us from Atlanta," says Rodger Renaud, president, West Star Aviation. "We are proud to be able to continue to service Gulfstream G200 aircraft in a major way."

West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts. In addition to its facilities in East Alton, IL; Grand Junction, CO; and Chattanooga, TN, West Star Aviation runs maintenance operations at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, CO; Chicago Executive Airport in Chicago, IL; and Centennial Airport in Denver, CO.
